The seashore guides have been reprinted, combining the te reo Māori and English versions, thanks to support from Coastal People: Southern Skies (CPSS).
Educators from the NZ Marine Studies Centre have observed that the te reo Māori names are now being used more often by students on the shore, as they are the first ones students encounter when using the guide. Northern and Southern versions are available, along with separate guides for different intertidal habitats (rocky shore vs sandy and muddy shores).
