Ātea a Rangi Education Trust / Te Matau a Māui Waka Hourua invite you to continue your learning about the local marine environment through a Marine Monitoring Wananga for Kaiako / Teachers on Wednesday April 22, 3:15 to 5:30pm.
The focus of this workshop is on monitoring the health of the moana for both primary and secondary level. We will record diversity and abundance of seashore species and introduce you to the Marine Metre2 tools and highlight a range of environmental monitoring tools.
We will meet at the waka wharf and walk over to the estuary. Please bring a raincoat and appropriate footwear. If wet, part of the programme will be run indoors. Register here.
