It is ten years since a team from the NZ Marine Studies Centre first ran an introductory Mm2 workshop for teachers from Enviroschools in Southland and staff from Environment Southland (November 2014). Ten years on, Mm2 is still going strong, and recently NZMSC staff were back running another session in Southland to introduce some of the new features such as Photogrammetry.
Following the 2014 workshop and field trip, the Environment Southland team put together an illustrated guide to carrying out their sandy and muddy shore survey. This step-by-step guide is still a valuable resource for anyone carrying out a survey today.
